Too Much
Many times, we've instructed Nathan with the phrase, "Not too much!" We use it when his fork or spoon is clearly overloaded. We use it when we're letting him pour his own milk into his glass. One of his latest uses for the phrase is a re-working of it. For example, he ate very well at lunch the other day and I offered him a cookie. I lowered the tin so he could get one. He reached in with both hands, attempting to stockpile a couple of fists full. I told him, "Just one, pal!" He looked up with a furrowed brow and said, "I want too much, daddy!" I was thinking the same words, but I don't think we shared the same intent.
