Take Your Breath Away

In Evan's world, things make sense. Life is reasonable. And other people's breath doesn't stink. Allow me to explain. It was bedtime this evening and we were saying our prayers and good-nights. This is often the time the boys unload some random, off-the-top-of-their-head thought on me. Tonight, Evan's thought was quite thoughtful. "Dad," he said seriously, "I think people should be able to smell their OWN breath, so they know when it's stinky." I heartily agreed with him and confirmed that often the offensive breather is the last to know just how repulsive they really are. He continued, "I think other people SHOULDN'T have to smell their stinky breath, just the person who has it." Too bad we can't live in "Evan's World."
