Packs a Punch
Evan is very strong. He is a very physical little guy. When he wants to get somewhere (or away), he's extremely hard to wrestle into submission. Sometimes, he's attempting to show affection but he does so with such force that we're left in pain. For example, he loves to nuzzle up to us and give us hugs. That's fine. It's not fine, however, when he does this quickly and forcefully while leading with his forehead. All of us have received Evan's "kung-fu head-butt of love" and we have the bruises to prove it. Recently, I was holding him and he was sleepy. He was fighting sleep, so he would plop his head on my shoulder for a moment and then pop up like a little "Evan-in-the-box". He would look around, smile at me and then plop back onto my shoulder. I looked at him during one of his pop-ups and, as he smiled sleepily at me, said, "give daddy a hug, buddy!" He smiled, stretched out his arms, and punched me in the nose with his fist! When I could see again, he was still smiling sweetly at me. No more hugs for daddy - Evans hugs really pack a punch!
