Nathan is good with his alphabet, colors, numbers, address, phone number, parents' names, etc. He was lying on the floor in his room recently, looking up at the fan as he identified the colors of the blades (each blade is a different color). I was encouraging him with his colors until he finished them all. I then asked him what was intended to be a counting question. Apparently, he took it very literal (go figure). I should have asked, "how many blades are there?"
Instead, I asked him, "how many blades do you see?" He replied simply, "ALL of them!"
