Bessess you, buddy!

What? Yeah, that's what I thought, the first time I heard it. I sneezed. Twice. And Nathan said, matter-of-fact-ly, "Bessess you, buddy!" (Did he just say, "possess you, buddy"?) I realized that Laura had said, "God bless you, buddy," to Nathan a few times earlier in the month when he happened to sneeze. Apparently, he was saying that to me, but it sure sounded like he was saying, "possess you, buddy!"
