"John", as we've been referring to our unborn son, has a "used" bag, considering he's our
second! Now, don't get me wrong - I am in no way disrespecting my wife. I'm strictly speaking of her uterus (can I say that here?), and the fact that it's been stretched before. (Nathan was a pretty big boy - 8lbs., 6oz.) That may account for the increased physical activity Laura has complained about with this one. "John" has been harrassing her lately with severe squirming and flagrant flailing about in her womb. He's making the most of Nathan's first home, at the expense of mommy's discomfort. (It
is neat to watch, though!) Nathan has attempted to give him "five", but I think he may have "fived" his brother's ear. Nathan gets a little nervous about holding his hand on mommy's belly when "baby brother" (as he calls him) is moving about. Nevertheless, he's going to make a great big brother.
We do have a couple of things to work on with Nathan before "John" arrives, though. For one, he really enjoys throwing things up in the air. Balls, Stuffed animals, clothes, big Tonka

trucks... all things that must come down! We recently purchased an Amby Bed for "John". It's an innovative hammock bed for babies that helps them sleep better and is more compact and portable than a traditional bed. (see
www.ambybaby.com for more info) Nathan helped me set it up, and promptly loaded Billy the goat into it and started swinging him. He pushed that thing as hard as he could and laughed deeply as the hammock swung about wildly! Yep, we're gonna have to spend a little training time on that!
