Painted Black

I don't know if Nathan's ever heard the song by that title, but he was quite sure someone was being cruel to an animal recently. He was out for a walk with Evan and Laura, when a lady passed them going the other way with her two large dogs. One was solid white, while the other was the more typical spotted version of Dalmation. Nathan took a good look at the dogs and asked with great concern, "Mommy! Why did somebody put black paint all over that dog?!"
