Water Boy

From his earliest bath in an inflatable "duck" tub that quacked, Evan has LOVED water. Last fall through this past spring, the boys were in swim classes weekly. Evan would practically fight to get in the pool, and was often referred to as "a true water baby" by his instructor. While Nathan still has some nervousness in the pool and usually resists getting his head wet, Evan is the opposite. He loves to play in the tub, where he frequently plants his face in the water to blow bubbles. On a recent visit to Paw-Paw and Nana's pool, he slipped past Laura and jumped right into the water! (I was already in the pool only feet away, and quickly scooped him up - he coughed a couple of times as I sat him on the side, and then he stood up and was ready to jump back in!) Wherever there is a tub, toilet, pool, puddle, sink, sprinkler, faucet, fountain, bird bath, bidet (ok, that's gross!), reservoir or rain, he wants to be in it, on it, under it and covered in it. If there is a puddle, he needs to splash it. If there is water in some form of containment, he wants to set it free. If there are others nearby, he will share his passion for splashin' (Nathan is always eager to assist).

No dry space is safe or sacred to our little waterboy. Perhaps his being "conceived at sea" has something to do with this!
