Laura was preparing the boys for her sinus surgery, informing them that she would not be able to hold them or play rough for a while afterward. I don't know what they talked about in detail, but here's how Nathan informed me of what was going to take place...
"Daddy! Mommy's going to go the the surgery place tomorrow and get her nose cut off!"
("What?")
"The doctor is going to cut off mommy's nose off with some scissors and put on a new one!"
("Is that right?")
"Yeah. She's gonna get a green nose, so she can smell better."
("Why would she get a green nose?")
"Because she's going to cut off her ears and get some green ones, too!"
(great - I guess her green nose won't be so weird, with matching ears)
