Silent Thunder

We were preparing for bed, as the weather outside was storming.
Nathan expressed concern over the noise, "If we try to go to sleep, that thunder might wake us up! We should just go up to the sky and turn that thunder off before we go night-night! I think there's a big switch up there, and when it's down, it's turned off!"

A few minutes later (after I paused to write this), I said, "OK, guys! Let's go (to bed)!"
The strong rain and thunder had subsided and Nathan asked, "Did you stop the rain, daddy?"
