Bobble-head boy

Evan is not on the same fast-track to verbal communication that Nathan was on. He basically speaks in "Da-Da" - everything is a variation of "da-da", with assorted tones and inflection to get his point across. He is, however, on a more physical fast-track. He walked earlier, climbs better/earlier, runs (usually away from me with some off-limits item he stole from the table or counter), and he is incredibly strong (just try to hold him when he wants to get away)! He also has new responses to the word "no" and to music he likes.

For a long time, he was into the side-to-side head turning action most often associated with "no-no". Now, he has learned the up-and-down motion most often associated with "yes". It's cute when he pokes his bottom lip out over the top one and bobs his head to a song he likes. It's not so cute when we tell him "no, sir!" and he gives us a defiant head bob with that look in his eyes that lets us know he totally understands what he's doing. He may not say a lot with words yet (though I sense he's going to have a "words explosion" any day now), but this bobble-head ain't no dummy!
