So Happy Together...

Nathan had (and still has) his moments when he would prefer Evan was not around. But the past couple of months have been increasingly rich with moments of brotherly love.

Of course, Evan usually wants to be where Nathan is doing whatever Nathan is doing. If he can't do it, he'll at least bug Nathan until he can't either! Evan has a healthy balance of Daddy and Mommy love, but he clearly loves Nathan. The three of us were going down for a nap recently, with Evan between Nathan and I. Evan gave me an affectionate little head-butt and a smile, then rolled over to Nathan, slapped him on the belly and snuggled close to his brother. Nathan just said, "Ok, buddy, let's go to sleep now," as he put one arm over his little shadow and they both drifted off.

Nathan has started requesting enough apple, grapes, cookies, etc. for both he and Evan. And, better yet, he actually shares whatever it is with Evan!

Nathan also helps Evan stay out of harm's way (ie, taking the vacuum plug out of Evan's hand while telling him, "No, Evan, you're gonna shock yourself"). For the time being, they even seem to have fun when they're fighting! Oh yeah! They've also discovered that together, they can have twice the fun making twice the mess as they can on their own. AND, they get to split the blame!

(...every move you make, I'll be watching you...)
