Adventures in Climbing pt.3

This is the third story of a blog series I'm calling "Adventures in Climbing". It mostly features Evan's various climbing adventures (thus, the title), as he is DAILY finding new obstacles to conquer.

Evan loves the slide. He almost likes climbing it more than sliding down. Maybe we should call ours the "climb". He climbs up as far as he can go on the slippery surface before his feet lose grip and then he slips down to the bottom, determined to go all the way to the top on his next attempt. When unsuccessful, he doesn't give up, he just fusses until Laura or I hold his hands while he climbs all the way up. According to Nathan, he had actually made his way up on his own the night he was crying in the dark. (see the first installment of "Adventures in Climbing") I doubt he made it all the way up by himself, although it would explain his sliding down backward. After all, he did have new (and therefore quite tacky) shoes on that night!

He still uses the ladder at times, although his latest stunt involves climbing the ladder with a ball in each hand. He's tricky!
