I Pledge Allegiance...

I grew up reciting "the pledge of allegiance" every school day. We said it at church. We recited it in the military. I haven't stated the pledge in a while. This was evidenced as Nathan was reciting it on his own recently. I overheard him attempting to remember the order, and I decided to help him. I would state part of the pledge and wait for him to fill in the blanks. "I pledge..." (allegiance) "...to the..." (flag) "...of the..." (United States) "...of..." (America) "...and to..." (the Republic) "...for..." (which it stands) "...one..."(nation) "...under..." (God) "...with..."(indivisible) "with liberty..." (indivisible)... And then I realized I had missed the indivisible part. I stood corrected by my three-year-old. I don't feel that bad, though, considering he'll be four in two weeks! So, we finished... "Indivisible, with..." (liberty) "...and..." (justice) "...for..." (ALL!)
