Still More Nathanisms

These are some more of the funny word creations of our eldest, Nathan (3)...

Evan was doing something with his foot that Nathan didn't like (maybe placing it on Nathan!). Nathan told him "NO!" very firmly, and pushed him away. When asked why he pushed Evan he replied, "Because Evan was jookin' his foot on me!"

When one of the bulbs blew out over the dinner table, Nathan shouted, "Oh MAN! That light bulb just schweeded out!"

I had asked Nathan why he didn't want to watch the neighbors shoot off fireworks New Year's Eve. He said, "Those pops are making my ears mad!"

We had a stuffed turkey breast for Christmas Eve dinner, and Laura had been using a basting syringe. Nathan had been helping her, so he was familiar with the term. Later, he was playing with one of his toys and knocked it across the room. When asked why his toy just flew across the room, he informed us he was "basting" it. Thankfully, no meat juice was involved.

While bathing recently, Nathan told Laura to "shuck" one of his toys into the water.

I think "schweeded" is my favorite!
