Grandparents' Day

The boys' school held their annual "Grandparents' Day" on April 1st (no relation) and they were very excited.  Evan must have been a little nervous, because he didn't fall asleep until sometime way after ten the night before.  I know this because of several visits to my room before he finally stayed in bed around 10:30.  Everyone was there on time, though, and "Paw-Paw" and "Nana" said the boys were quite impressive with their class songs and individual participation in showcasing their knowledge and skills in the classroom.  After the presentations, the boys got to leave with P & N and ride in "the convertible" - a much anticipated highlight of the day.  They enjoyed a fried shrimp lunch, trip to the Park and ice cream @ Lafayette's landmark Borden's shop.  After several hours of adventure, they headed home to tell me all about it.  Nathan was all smiles...

Evan, as you can see in the pics above/below, was OUT!  (He napped for 2 1/2 hours!)

Nathan insisted he was NOT tired and did not need a nap.
As I predicted, he was the first to pass out that evening...

Thanks Paw-Paw & Nana for making the boys' day special!
