Evan brought home a booklet of pictures he had colored at school. There was one particular page that had a scene in the woods. To the left of a large rock, a deer and a bunny rabbit were sleeping, with the bunny slightly in the foreground of the deer. The artist of this CHILDREN's material apparently did not have much insight into the processing of young boys' thoughts...
Evan showed Laura and stated, "Look, Mommy! That deer pooped out a bunny!"
Funny thing is, as Laura was recounting the story to me, she showed me the picture before telling me what Evan said. My first thought was, "why in the world did they put a bunny, in the shape of a 'deer pie' right below the deer's behind?"
Great minds think alike.
