Thankful?

Nathan's class is having their Thanksgiving play and feast today.  We're invited to the play. We're not invited to the feast.  Nevertheless, as I was helping Nathan get ready for school this morning, I asked him what he is thankful for.  He said he is thankful for oatmeal, for a house, for clothes... "I'd LIKE to be thankful for a DOG!" (that boy!!)  He then said he was thankful for Laura and I and "a LITTLE bit thankful for 'E'!" (Evan).  I told him he'd better be a LOT thankful for Evan, because he would be a very lonely boy if not for his brother.  He quickly replied, "Well, you guys would just have to get me a bunny or a cat or a gerbil or something."  Poor Evan.  He doesn't even rank up there with a dog!  (We'll keep working on that!)
